3 going on 16

When did my little girl grow up? Lately Kinley has been giving me teenager attitude but of course in the sweetest way possible. Here are a few of her latest:

Kaden: (spits at Kinley)
Kinley: "Kaden no spitting, or you will get soap in your mouth"
Kaden: (spits again)
Kinley: " Kaden do you want soap in your mouth?"
Kaden: "no"
Kinley: "Then don't spit, I already told you that."

After getting in trouble and being sent to her room, she stands outside her door and says "I am never, never coming out of my room again." After about 3 minutes she comes out and says "I changed my mind."

Mom: "Kinley will you please go put your shoes on."
Kinley: "Whatever Mom."
Mom: "Kinley that doesn't sound nice when you talk to Mom that way."
Kinley: "Sorry, I mean whatever you say Mom."

Mom: "Kinley, can I have a kiss?"
Kinley: "No"
Mom: "Thats not nice, you are my big girl, I love to give you kisses."
Kinley: "I don't want to be your girl anymore, I want to be Daddy's girl and Kaden can be your boy."

Oh my goodness, what am I going to do when she is 16? Kaden is not lacking in the bossy trait either. Here is his latest:

Mom: "Time for prayer."
Kaden: " No mom, listen, you get trouble, 1,2,3....13" followed by a love tackle.
Mom: "He only gets to 3, I get all the way to 13."(not to mention how impressed I was that he could count to 13.)

Oh the joys of children...gotta love it.

Kaden

Poor guy, he has officially been diagnosed with asthma. He just woke up breathing heavy and so I took him to the doctor. He had to do breathing treatments for about a week. He got better quickly, then he got a cold and now he is back to not sleeping well because he can't breathe and treatments every 4 hours. He hates the treatments, but what 2 year old wouldn't.

He loves to wear his hat, but he refuses to wear it the right way. It looks cute now, but when he is 12 I might have something to say about it.:)

Happy Birthday and Valentines Day!

This picture is a little old, but I love it. Today is Jordons 27th birthday! His birthday is a little different, because he has to buy me something to celebrate Valentines Day. I have such a sweet husband that is also my best friend. Happy Birthday honey! I love you!

Hooray!

The nice lady that works in the office here at my apartment complex made my day today. She informed me that my neighbor (the one that lives under us and thinks we are a herd of elephants) is moving out by March 1!!!! It gets better, she said the lady who has rented it is not moving in right away. So we may have a few months of stomping, dancing, running, and jumping. I might even let Kaden bounce a basketball!!! I am thrilled! Now I will just keep looking for the moving truck to show up. What a glorious day, we may have a party that night!

good news

I had a doctors appt today. I gained a pound and grew a centimeter. So, if I don't move, I can actually gain weight. :) I have been told to continue staying down and growing. I will go back in 2 weeks and if needed they will start monitoring the baby, and do another ultrasound. My sister has been here for the weekend, and it was so nice. She went to the grocery store for me, cleaned my house and cooked my meals. :) I am so lucky. I don't mind staying down, except I get a little bored and I miss being able to just run my own errands. A trip to Target sure sounds fun. :) Wish me luck!

Noah Drake Nelson

My sister Lindsey had her fourth boy today. I don't have a picture yet, but he weighed 5 pounds 15 ounces and is doing well. That is by far her smallest baby
(and healthiest I think). I am so glad they are doing well. I wish I could see him, congrats Lindsey and Nick.

update

I wanted to post a little update on the green family. We like to keep things exciting around here. I am getting closer to having this baby, I went in for an appt and I am measuring "a little" small. I am almost 30 weeks and only measuring 26cm. They did an ultrasound a month ago and the babies size was normal. I am staying down to hopefully help me grow. I had the same issues with Kinley, and they induced me at 36 weeks. I am not sure what this doctor plans but I go back in a week to follow up. I need at least 5 more weeks, so anyway wish me luck. Everybody has been very helpful with my kids. Thank you so much.

Jordon is staying busy trying to graduate and not worry about his pregnant wife. :)He is so much help when he is home and does a great job at hiding his stress. I really appreciate him and all he does for us. I promise homemade dinners, clean clothes and a clean house will be back.

Kinley is doing joy school and ballet. She is such a good helper and of course my entertainment for most of the day. She is almost 4 and knows when she turns 4 she has to stop sucking her thumb... wish me luck with that.

Kaden, wow is he getting older and bigger. He is learning his letters, thanks to leapfrog. He knows almost all the letters and their sounds. His favorite is the W. The other day he finished his cereal, drank all the milk, and put his bowl and spoon in the sink. I was shocked. When did he grow up??? He loves his friend Asher and is always the happiest when dad gets home. He is definitly 2 years old and acts like it most of the time, but he sure is cute. I wanted to have him potty trained before the baby was born, but I might have to rethink that.
