eggless cookies

Bowl of Berries Cookies

Stems
1/4 c water
3-5 drops green food coloring
1/2 of a 2-oz package slivered blanched almonds

Cookies
1 c butter or margarine (everything's better with butter though!)
1/2 c powdered sugar
1/2 of a 3-oz package strawberry-flavored gelatin
1 t vanilla extract
1/4 t salt
2 c all-pupose flour
Red-colored sugar
Green-colored sugar

Directions
1. To make stems, mix water and green food color in a shallow bowl. Add almonds. Allow to soak and absorb color, stirring several times.

2. To make cookies, beat butter, powdered sugar, gelatin, vanilla, and salt in a large bowl with electric mixer until fluffy. On low speed, gradually beat in flour. Chill 30 minutes.

3. Drain almonds on several layers of paper towels. Heat oven to 375 degrees.

4. Form dough into balls about 1 inch in diameter. Taper one end of each to make a strawberry shape. Dip the wider end into the green sugar and then roll tapered end in red sugar. Insert an almond stem in wide end of each berry. Place one inch apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake 11-12 minutes until set, but not browned. Cool on wire racks. Makes approximately 36 cookies

I haven't made these yet, but I can't wait to try them for Kaden.

Konnor

Konnor got to attend Jordons graduation while the other two kids stayed in AZ.

Konnor got blessed a few weeks ago. He looked so dang cute.

Look at that smile. I just want to pinch those cheeks... He is 4 months old now, I am not sure how much he weighs or any of that because we are still looking for a doctor here and trying to get health insurance.... but he is definitly a chunky monkey.

I started a new blog, it is called www.copyandcreate.blogspot.com
It is just for fun, I am not selling anything. It is mostly just ideas I would like to remember. Some people have a file of magazine pages they tear out, this is like that. Let me know what you think.

The end of school

I know I am way behind, but some of us chose to go to dinner instead of the graduation dinner that the school had. We went to Cattlemens and the food was declicious and the company could not be beat. I miss my friends already.

White Elegance

I just wanted to let you all know that my mom has started selling White Elegance. If you have not heard of it, it is fantastic Temple dresses, blessing outfits and gift ideas. She has started a blog and they have a website. If you are close to her, she carries most of it and can order what she does not have, which will save you on shipping. If you are interested let me know, I can get you her number. I used one of the outfits to bless Konnor today and I will post pictures soon. Jordon gave a beautiful blessing for our beautiful baby boy.
