San antonio part 3: sea world

As soon as this ride went up, Kinley burst into tears! I am pretty sure she was freaking out all the other kids. We had to get her off.

We didn't take enough pictures at Sea World. Thats ok, we bought a season pass, and we are going back this weekend. anyway, it was freezing and very windy. it got better as the day went on, but we almost turned around and didn't go in. The shows were cool, It was the first weekend it was open for the season, so there was a lot missing. hopefully we will have better luck this time.

Wax museum!

We went to the riverwalk. We were going to try this restaurant called Budro's. The wait was like 45 min, so we went next door. It was awful and Kinley got bit by a duck :) We walked around a little bit, and got ice cream. It was yum!

My mom came to visit, we took the kids to San Antonio. Jordon was supposed to have a class, it got canceled, we went anyway. We took the kids to the zoo, and they loved it.

My mom and sisters came to Midland in Feb for a girls trip. It was FREEZING!!!! We were so cold and so cramped in my car, we didn't venture out too much. We did get pedicures, cupcakes, a yummy lunch and drove around to see my new town. We got to talk and watch movies. I love my sisters and miss them every day! Thanks for coming girls, but next time lets go to the beach!

Valentines Day/Jordons Bday

I should really get better at taking pictures, I have a nice camera and an adorable family....but I did not take a single picture on Jordons 30th birthday! OOPS! We are celebrating in March with a day out...couples massage, dinner, a movie, shopping, whatever we want. I will be sure and take pictures then.

Our Valentines day was great. I received flowers and chocolate covered strawberries and ordered myself one of those stamped charm necklaces with the kids names on it. I can't wait for it to get here. We got the kids some fun candy, they were thrilled. Because it was Jordons birthday, we started the day with birthday donuts. Jordon blew out a spiderman candle because as Kinley pointed out "30 candles would not fit on a donut." I took Kinley out of school for about an hour and we went to Jordons office and filled his truck with balloons and wrote Happy Birthday on the windows. The girls at his office had decorated it with black balloons and streamers. Thanks to Jodi (his old assistant in AZ made a phone call to make sure those girls were taking care of Dr. Green) For dinner we had a lovely feast with strawberry waffles with strawberries and whipcream, with chocolate chips and sprinkles on top. Strawberry yogurt, strawberry milk, eggs and bacon. It was like eating dessert for dinner. Yum! It was a great day and even though Jordon had to work on his birthday I think he felt the love.

I was going to post 30 things I love about Jordon on his 30th Bday, but this post is becoming a little long. So I love Jordon more than words can describe. He is my best friend.. we are total opposites that fit together perfectly. I am so blessed to have him. Love you Babe!

Yesterday was Kolbies birthday! I can't believe my last baby just turned 1! Kolbie is such a sweet baby. She loves stuffed animals, gets into everything, she especially likes to unroll the tiolet paper. She eats anything. She loves her blankies and her binkie. She doesn't like to wear bows on her head. She says "mama, dada, hiyaa, and bye bye." We love our sweet Kolbie..Happy Birthday Baby!

We went to Snowflake for Halloween and got to spend some time with the Green family. We had lots of fun, and got loads of candy. Kinley was a witch, Kaden was war machine, Konnor was spiderman and Kolbie was tinkerbell. Can't wait to do it all again next year. :)

Happy Birthday to my favorite 5 year old. Kaden is 5 today. I can't believe it, he is growing up so fast. A few things about Kaden...Kaden is the sweetest kid. He loves hugs and kisses. He is a good big brother. He is always sharing with Konnor and takes great care of Kolbie. Kaden is particular about some things. He doesn't like his pants to touch his feet. He doesn't like his hair to be messy. He likes his blankets on him a certain way at night time. He loves the xbox. When I asked him what he wanted to do today he said "play the xbox all day, not just for 30 minutes." He loves superheros and can name most of them. We love you Kaden! Happy Birthday!

We went on a cruise with our favorite friends Jared and Melissa. We went to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo. It was a fabulous 7 days. We ziplined, we repelled down a waterfall, we parasailed, we ate and ate and ate, we relaxed on the beach in Cabo, we got a massage, we laughed, we sat in the hot tub, we read books by the pool, we slept in. It was seriously a fantastic vacation. Can't wait to cruise again!

First Grade

My sweet Kinley started first grade this year. Kinley loves school and is very smart. We went to her open house and I noticed she is a little small compared to the other kids. She likes art, reading and PE. When she grows up she wants to be singer, work at sea world, be a cowgirl, or a vet. Her favorite food is broccoli, peas, mashed potatoes, donuts, and yogurt. Her best friend is Kambree. Her favorite toy is a doll or a stuffed animal. Kinley loves to do projects, write stories and draw pictures. She is in a higher reading group at school and does a great job. We love you Kinley..enjoy first grade!

4th of July/ Bradshaw Family Reunion

The Bradshaw clan came to Prescott for the 4th of July for our reunion this year. We enjoyed the kiddie parade, the Pioneer Days parade, movie in the park, games, swimming, a play for Grandma and Grandpa, lots of cousin time and lots of fun together. After Prescott, some of us went to the cabin for a few days.

Konnor got ahold of my mascara while we were at the cabin. crazy kid!

The grandkids put on a play for Grandma and Grandpa for their anniversary. My Sis in law Sarah who is very talented wrote a script. The older kids were the narrators for the decade and dressed the part. It was classic. We highlighted things like dad proposing the night they met; zachary falling out of a moving car, Lindsey getting diabetes, mom and dad moving down the street, next door and then around the corner. It was lots of fun and we all got a good laugh.

For the Pioneer Days parade we all made shirts. D thought it was funny to spell Prescott like it sounds and Uncle Jordon was supposed to pay up for the "I love Unc. Jordon" (not sure if he ever did)

For the Kiddie parade the kids got to decorate their bikes and scooters and be in the parade. It was fun, but we probably won't be doing it again. At least not until the kids are a little older. Its crowded and hard to keep track of your own kids.

We love our family and it is always so much fun to spend time together. Nothing better than sitting around watching your kids play, visiting with your parents and siblings. :) love you all!

We stayed in a cottage at the Newport Dunes. It was beautiful. We went prepared for a "beach vacation" but it was a little chilly so one day we played at the beach and then went to Balboa Island. We rode the ferris wheel, the merry go round and enjoyed a frozen banana with chocolate and sprinkles. The kids thought it was great that we got to drive our car right onto a ferry and ride it across. The next day was cold and raining again so we took the kids to Knotts Berry Farm. They rode every ride they could....a few times. The trip was fun, the kids were good, but I think from now on its Disneyland!!!

I am a little behind in my blogging so I am just going to start with our summer so far. We have been everywhere...A week in the valley for swimming lessons (no pics , sorry), Texas, Newport Dunes, Bradshaw Family Reunion, Cabin and finally home again.

We went to Texas for Jordons borthers wedding. Jordon and I flew out with Kolbie for just a few days. Jordons brother has a lakehouse and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! We got to go out and explore Tyler, TX. We went for rides on the boat and the wedding was amazing. Thanks Chance and Melissa.

Kinley had her first piano recital in April and she did FANTASTIC!!!!! She played "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "Book of Mormon Stories." She had them memorized and she was a little nervous, but we are so proud of her. It's not hard to get Kinley to practice. all I have to say is " If you want to a rockstar, you need to practice piano." works every time. :)

Today is Kinleys 6th Birthday! WHOA! I can't believe she is 6. Kinley is a sweetheart. She likes to read, sing, play the piano, draw pictures, and dance. She likes healthy food. When she comes home from school, she almost always still has the treat from her lunch. She loves fruit, broccoli, and pb&j dipped in milk. She likes Taylor Swift (she wants to write her a fan letter). She loves her cousins and grandmas and grandpas. She is a good sleeper. She always says "I wish we could sleep all day" (unlike her brothers) It is not uncommon to find "I love you" notes around the house from Kinley. She doesn't like to get in trouble and she cries when her feelings are hurt. WE LOVE YOU KINLEY! Have a happy birthday!

Today is my little boys 2nd birthday! Konnor is a funny kid. He loves is Papa (Grandpa), batman, and playing with his older brother and sister. He sounds like those pigeons on Nemo.. "mine, mine, mine" He likes bananas, water, and granola bars. He does not like cereal with milk. He has really thick hair, he sleeps in a big boy bed and he likes the bath. We call him "boogers" because he seems to always have a snotty nose. If we can't find him, just look for grandpa, Konnor is always close by. Parent Teacher Conference

On Friday, Jordon and I met with Ms. Merrell, Kinleys kindergarten teacher. She had all good things to say about Kinley. She is in the highest reading group, knows all the things she is supposed to know and more. She said Kinley is usually the last to finish, but her work always looks the best. She doesn't like to be rushed, and she wants everything to be done perfectly. I wonder where she gets that??? I guess she takes after her dad :) We were very happy to here such nice things about Kinley. She is a sweet girl and we are glad she is doing well in school. We have taken her out for the next two weeks, due to the bedrest and being down in Gilbert. She asks every day if she can do homework. We love our little Kinley!

They never even saw me coming...well, actually several of them did throughout the course of the week.
We pressured my Dad into shooting this little guy on day 4 of 7 so we'd know we weren't going home empty handed. We'll probably hang this one in Katie's mom's front room now that it will have more room due to the remodel!!

On Saturday at my moms Kaden got bit by a big shark (or tripped over some metal) so we took him to the doctor and they turned into some snakes (or gave him lots of stitches). He was all smiles, being a superhero trying to break out of the burrito they wrapped him up in, until they started numbing him. It was very sad, there was a lot of blood and guts and as far as I am concerned, that should be dads job. But he is hunting and still doesn't even know. I don't care to ever experience that again, but with 4 kids I know it is bound to happen.

On a lighter note, Kadens preschool teacher informed me that the other day he was trying to play when it was work time. She explained to him that work time is work time and play time is play time. He folded his arms looked at Miss Gina and said "I don't care, my dad is bigger than you."

We decided to try soccer this year. I was a little nervous with Kadens allergies and Kinley being more of a ballet girl than soccer girl, but they are having fun. Well, I should say Kaden likes it, but Kinley is not that interested. She plays and has fun, but does not really care much about the game. Oh well, you never know until you try.

Kaden started preschool with Miss Gina this year. He has 2 years until kindergarten but I thought he was ready for something. The first week was a little rough. He was learning the rules and all that. He is doing better and has brought home a smiley sticker every day. On the first day Miss Gina explained to him that if you are good during preschool, you get a smiley sticker to show your mom and dad you were good at preschool. To which he responded " I don't care, I don't want a smiley sticker." In typical Kaden fashion. Oh my sweet little Kaden!

I can't believe I just dropped my 5 year old off at school. She was so excited. She couldn't fall asleep last night, it was like Christmas. She woke up this morning and said "I can't watch cartoons mom, I have to get ready for school." She had one bowl of cereal and I asked her if she wanted another bowl , she said she didn't have time, she had to get ready for school. She only had to be asked once to get dressed, come get her hair combed and her teeth brushed. We walked her to her class and she waved and said goodbye. No tears, not even a second glance. She was ready and excited. I was not really sad, but I did feel a little weird about the whole thing. She seems to little, she is still my baby. There is no way she is old enough for school. I hope she loves it, learns a lot and has that same passion for school when she gets to high school :)

Please don't tell me you think I am certifiably insane for being pregnant with baby #4! :) I already know, but in my defense we are planning on this being the last one, so why not get it over with right. :) Yep, I am 11 weeks and due in December. We are very excited. Part of the "contract" to get Jordon to agree to another baby was not finding out the sex of the baby until its born. So this should be a LONG 9 months. I am staying at my moms for a few weeks so she can help me with my kids while I feel like crap. Anyway, here's hopin for a happy healthy baby!

There are 2 funny stories about Kinley that I absolutely must write down or I will forget them, and then I will never be able to tell her when she is older or tell my granchildren.

#1 The other day Jordon was sitting on the couch clipping his toenails. I said "Jordon go do that some where else, it's disgusting." He stays there of course. So Kinley says "Yea Dad, its really gross." The next thing we know, Kinley is screaming. "what happened" She says "It's in my mouth, It's in my mouth." Yep...Jordon's toenail had shot straight into her mouth. Jordon swiped his finger behind her lip and sure enough his whole toenail. SO GROSS! Kinley was hysterical and Jordon and I were laughing so hard. From now on ,we wear protective eyeware and keep our mouths closed around Jordon clipping his nails.

#2 One night we put the kids to bed and Kinley always gets up a few times. I drink of water, a hug, a kiss, we are too loud. You know the regular excuses. She goes to her room, crying very dramatically, slams her door and says "How could she do that to her favorite daughter?"

Kinley had a fun cupcake party. They colored, used glitter and stickers to decorate a paper cupcake, then they frosted real cupcakes and played pin the cherry on the cupcake. She got plenty of gifts and had a great time. Thanks to everyone who came.

Katie does this for everyone in our family so I thought it only fair that I posted her Birthday as well. Katie is the best wife and mother a family can have. I know most people think that but the truth is there can only be one best and that is Katie. She is and has always been selfless. Some examples: In the past I've given her money for clothes on her birthday and will come to find that the kids end up with new clothes. When I graduated from dental school and we needed another car, I planned on getting Katie something nice and buying an old truck. Of course she declined. She said she likes her little minivan just fine and the kids are messy anyways so I can buy her something nice when they are older. She always keeps our kids clean, happy, and healthy. When we lived in our shoebox of an apartment in dental school, she would wake up with a fussy baby (yes, by fussy baby I mean Kaden) and spend the rest of the night on the couch without me knowing so that I could get a good night sleep, then wake up and have my clothes ironed and a lunch ready for me so I wouldn't miss the carpool. She does all these little things while being married to ME. I won't expound on that except by asking those of you who know me to imagine being married to me. Point made? She is the best mom and makes such cute kids. She's had three kids and stays super hot on a budget I would challenge any girl to try and match! Katie is the best decision I've ever made. I definitely married up! You know I love you babe, Happy Birthday.

Jordon and Kaden went with Dr. Bowman to the monster trucks. They went to Chilis for a hamburger with cheese then to the show, complete with loud trucks, flags, cotton candy, sprite and a good time. Kaden LOVED it. He came home at 9:30 all fired up and then passed out the second his head hit the pillow.

Kinley turned 5 yesterday! We had a fun cupcake party at my moms (pictures to follow)! Kinley is such a sweetheart. We are lucky to have her in our family. She is sensitive, smart, funny, happy and cute! She loves to sing, play house, draw, write and read. She eats almost everything, she loves broccoli, blackberries, blueberries, pretty much any fruit. She loves her preschool and playing with her cousins and friends. We love you Kinley, Happy 5th!

Konnor turned 1 on Saturday! He had a donut for breakfast and cupcakes for dinner! Konnor is such a sweet baby. He laughs like a sheep, says mama and is sooo close to walking. He loves swords and balls. He is a binkie baby and loves his bottles. He is a chunker and loves food. He got tubes in his ears and is so much happier. He likes to be with his brother and sister. He loves his dad and his grandma best. He loves the bath or going to swimming lessons with the kids. We love you Konnor, Happy 1st!

For Jordons birthday also Valentines Day we got to go out to eat and then shopping (well walmart really, but without kids its a whole different experience) Thank you to Melissa, my life saver in Prescott Valley, for watching the kids. We decided the kids might like it if Jordon had a cake and blew out some candles, so we stopped by Baskin Robbins and got a delicious ice cream cake. Charma and Gordon were there when we got home and so we sang and had cake!

A while back I went to the zoo with some friends from high school. I left Konnor home with Jordon so I was stroller free. The kids had so much fun and we were all beat by the time we got home. It was fun to see all my friends and I am glad I was in town...

Happy 28th Birthday to Jordon! I love him..he loves me....life is good. :)

We celebrated by making a yummy breakfast of waffles with strawberries and whipped cream(or homemade syrup), bacon, eggs and strawberry yogurt with valentine sprinkles.

We are going out to dinner tonight. For his birthday he got a book he's been wanting and his mountain bike all tuned up and ready to ride again!

I am a lucky girl to be married to Jordon. He is my best friend and we have fun! I love you honey!

Top Ten

My goodness it has been a while since I posted a top ten, and there has been a lot going on. This is going to be from the last few months (what I can remember).

10. Kadens new trick...he thinks he is the phantom. I have lost him twice at my moms and once at Target. After looking for him for at least 30 minutes we spotted him going to the bathroom and asked him where he was. He said he was in the toybox hiding. We looked in the playroom, so he must have had the lid shut. At Target, he was hiding from me in the clothes and didn't come out until a worker heard me calling for him and got her walkie talkie and had the whole store looking for a 3 year old with a hat and a Mcqueen sweater on. After a very serious conversation that may or may not have involved threats from mom and dad about hiding from us, he has not done it again.

9. While driving Kinley says "Dad, I never want to be a mommy."

Dad: "How come?"

Kinley: "I want to stay with you forever."

Dad: "You can stay with me for as long you want Kinley. How come you don't want to be a mommy?"

Kinley: "Well, I want to be a mommy, but I don't want to leave you and Bella."

Isn't that a girl after her father's heart?

(Note: When she's older, we'll talk a little more about her staying as long as she wants UNTIL she's a mom.)

8. I went to a benefit garage sale and I purchased a PIANO and a train table and I am so excited for both.

7. After getting braces, I cannot bite my nails, so they look long and beautiful. :)

6. Kaden is all boy, and by that I mean he has taken notice that his pee is sometimes big. :) So one day he comes out of the bathroom with his pants down and says "Mom, my pee not big." I say, "OK, thats good now pull your pants up." To which he says, "No mom I said its NOT big, its teeny."

This was pretty funny until I imagined something similar happening at preschool next year! Not funny.

5. Kinley has been asking a lot of questions about seeing Jesus and going to Heaven when we die. On the drive home from Gilbert, she cried for a good 30 minutes because she wants to see Jesus and Heavenly Father but she does not EVER want to die. I tried to explain that she won't die until she is very old, but she didn't get it. So I finally just told her that she might be very lucky and Jesus will come here before she dies, she is very excited about that.

4. Right after we got Bella, Kinley says to Jordon....

K: "Dad, did Santa really bring Bella?"

J: "Yes, how else would she have gotten here?"

K: "Maybe you bought her at the pet store."

J: "Nope, Santa brought her."

K: "Well, then those are some really magic elves if they can make a puppy."

J: "Go play."

3. My poor baby Konnor has been soooo sick. He has had so many ear infections and pnuemonia. He is such a happy baby that it is really sad to see him sick. He is finally getting tubes in his ears next Wednesday.

2. Yesterday it snowed so much that all schools got cancelled and Jordon's office closed. I was very grateful since the night before I was up all night with the flu. Jordon took the kids to the park to build a snowman. They had fun, but were crying by the time they got home because their hands and feet were frozen. (Our kids cry over something so trivial? Can you believe it?)

1. Kaden has decided he likes to sleep with something every night. He has slept with his batman, fire guy and stronger guy, his spiderman beanie and gloves, and even his full size green boxing gloves. (see picture at top)

My sister is taking her kids to disneyland this weekend and is buying 2 adult 2 day park hopper passes and is only using the first day. She was going to post the second day on craigslist but wanted to offer it to friends or family first. The tickets will have to be used by March 15 and she is charging $50 each. crazy life

I know it has been a while since I posted anything.. we have been on a roller coaster. We had an awesome christmas. I totally forgot to take pictures that morning but we did get it all on video. Kinley got a kitchen and Kaden got a basketball hoop. Our new years was also lots of fun, we went to snowflake and spent it with Jordons family. We went from the valley, to snowflake, to the valley, back to snowflake then home. January didn't slow down, I got braces...so you won't be seeing many pictures of me for the next year! Kaden got sick at my moms, with goopy eyes and a nasty cold, which he passed on to the rest of us. Konnor got pnuemonia and had to spend a whole day going from xrays to the doctors office. We have been down in the valley every weekend..Jordon has had ce classes and Kaden has been seeing an allergist there. He is no longer allergic to peanuts and in six months they will do an oral exam for eggs. Hooray! He is allergic to dogs so sweet Bella has been staying outside. She is getting so big and sheds a lot so that is fine with me. We are finally home now and are staying here for a while. I will be posting my top ten soon....

I just wanted to let everyone know that dillards is having a sale...an extra 30 % of sale items that are already 40% off so they are 70% off. I went to the one here in prescott and got AWESOME deals. I couldn't help but share it with all of you. I didn't even go to my section because I had all the kids but I got clothes for the boys. Quiksilver, volcom, ed hardy and hurley shirts and sweaters for no more than 10 bucks. I don't know what all the dillards look like but she did tell me that they are all having the sale. Anyway, I hope some of you can take advantage. :)
