Easter

We didn't celebrate Easter since Jordon isn't here but the kids did wear their cute outfits to church. I didn't get the best pictures because we were late for church and well you know how it goes.

Pregnancy Update

Well things are going great, except for the little car accident. We were on our way to pick my mom up at the airport on Thursday morning and I got rear-ended. I actually think the fact that we made it almost the whole three years without a ticket or accident in the city with all those crazy drivers is pretty lucky. Anyway, I called my dr. just to see if I should get checked out after a car accident. He said yes and had me go to the hospital to get monitored. I guess it is standard after accidents to watch me and baby for 4 hours. Well 4 hours passed and they had given me Nephedipine and couldn't get the contractions to stop, so they had me spend the night. Finally at like 11:00 pm they slowed down and the baby and I did well for the rest of the night. We got to go home Friday morning. Everything has been going fine since then. The Dr. said I am allowed to get up but still take it easy and I don't have to take the nephedipine anymore. I am really happy about that since it gives me a major headache. My mom is here and we are having a good time. Jordon leaves in a few days to go to AZ for interviews. We know we take the risk of him missing the birth of this baby, but he has to get a job. :) So, I have an appointment tomorrow so we will see whats going on with sweet baby Konnor.

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

While Jordons parents were here we took a drive to Santa Cruz. If you haven't been there, it is a lot of fun. It is like a carnival on the beach. The kids had a great time on the rides and we got some yummy salt water taffy. This was Kadens first time on rides by himself. As you can see he wasn't thrilled with the whale ride, but he did warm up and liked the rest of them. Papa Gordon was a good sport and rode with them on the Pepsi Truck. Thanks Grandma and Papa for the fun, beautiful day.

Easter Egg Hunt

Jordons parents came to visit for the weekend and the kids had their easter egg hunt. They had lots of fun finding the eggs, but they were a little sad when there was no candy in them. I was all ready to take the good stuff for myself. It was a beautiful day to play at the park.

Preterm Labor

Just a little update on the pregnancy. Tuesday I had contractions all day so I waited until Jordon got home, ate dinner and went to lay down. I slept OK, but when I woke up I was still having them, so I decided to call and see if he would want me to get checked. My doctor sent me to the hospital to get tested. I was having contractions every 4 minutes when I got there, they got closer and stronger, so the on call Dr. gave me an IV, penicilin (in case I have strept B), Nefidipine (to stop the contractions), and a shot to help develop the babys lungs. They did a FFN and it came back negative. Hooray! So, they waited a few hours until my contractions stopped and then sent me home, with instructions to of course "take it easy". I was not dialated, but very soft. So, I had to go back today for the second dose to help the lungs. I was again having contractions but this time every 1-2 minutes. They gave me another dose of Nefidipine and a prescription to take home with me and take one 3 times a day until my appt on Tuesday. They gave me my shot, and got the contractions to stop. They also checked my fluid. I guess normal range is 8-25 and mine is 10. So it is on the low side, but still in normal range. So here we are, sitting at home. Jordon on his way to AZ for an interview and my sweet mother in law here to help me. I am 34 weeks, so I need at least two more weeks. I am already totally tired of sitting around doing nothing, but of course this babies health is first priority. Wish me luck!

Asilomar

Matt Carpenter playing rock band.

I guess they spent some time trying to catch some raccoons.

Jordon had a retreat in Monterey. I didn't get to go, so I don't exactly know what went on but here are some pictures from his trip.
