New York

Jordon and I went to NY for a little early graduation celebration. We were accompanied by Gordon, Charma, Jace, Arlette, Chance, Melissa, Chade, Cheryl and Josh. We had a blast. We watched the UFC fight, rode the subway, went to Rockefeller Center, Central Park, rode the subway, a comedy club, FAO Schwartz, Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Ground zero, Phantom of the Opera, Lion King, Young Frankenstein, did I say rode the subway...and so much more. We were at the Heartland Brewery in Times Square for New Years. We ate at Rays Pizza, Carnegie Deli and so many other random delicious restaraunts. We were there for 6 days and it went by so fast. We could have spent so much more time there. It was cold, but not that bad. The last day was FREEZING, I mean ridiculously cold, but we were lucky most of the time. So many wonderful memories were made. I think the shows were the best part. Phantom and Lion King were amazing and Young Frankenstein was pretty funny. Here are a few pictures of the millions we took.

Christmas

Christmas Eve we were watching Polar Express and we heard some jingle bells. We took Kinley and walked to the top of the stairs, where we saw Santa putting presents under the tree and eating our cookies. Kinley was very quiet and waved at Santa, then turned to me and said "Hurry mom, we need to go to bed so Santa will come back." She went right to sleep, the next morning started a bit rough. Kaden had been sick and did not sleep well. After opening presents he went back to sleep for another 3 hours. Kinley loved her pink scooter and doghouse. Santa was very kind to our family this year. Jordon got me 3rd row tickets to see the Lion King in New York, which was amazing. Christmas breakfast crepes were delicious and then we drove to the valley to have dinner with my family.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we open new jammies, Kinley got princess and Kaden got cars.

We had the cousins gift exchange. Kinley and Tylee both got dress ups, they loved it.

Christmas...finally

We say smile big and this is what we get!

Kadens shirt and tie were a little too small, I guess we should have tried them on before Sunday morning. They were going to match so well.

Jordon and his brothers sang for his moms relief society lesson. They did a great job, of course!

Her life is a song....

My little sweetheart loves to sing. (It reminds me of Tracy Turnblad... Good Morning Baltimore) Anyway, I wanted to record some of her latest. Lately, you will catch her saying "Oh, I know a song about that"..followed by her own made up words about whatever she was thinking about.

She has really been into Christmas songs... "Jingle Bells, jingle bells, how much fun it is to ride."

This one was Jordon's favorite, "and if you ever saw it, you would even think it blows.....like Pinnochio."

If we had a nickel for every time we've heard "You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why."

I was trying to teach her the right words to Rudolph when Jordon corrected me by singing the right words and she said "Wow mom, dad is good, but not you huh?"

A few days ago, she said to me "Guess what Mom?" "what Kinley?" "I got a brand new girlfriend, kissy kissy smoochy smoochy..." (It's a country song).

She also thinks George Strait is the king of country and is so handsome. (Possibly influenced by her mother here.)

We sure love this girl, she keeps life interesting and so much fun!

Oh... and about the facial hair....Kinley asks after bedtime kisses, "Dad, why do you have this?" Dad lies, "Because Mom loves it!" To which she replies, "She doesn't love it.....She thinks its DISGUSTING!" It was gone shortly thereafter. :)

Lots of catching up to do.....

These pics are from Thanksgiving weekend when we decorated the tree at Grandma Charma's house. After putting the tree up there, we went back to the valley and put up the tree at my mom's. Kinley now thinks you don't buy real Christmas trees, you just take them out of a box and assemble them. :)
