Alaska

Over the summer break Jordon went with his dad and two of his brothers to Alaska. They stayed on a boat and fished the whole time. I don't know much about the trip since I wasn't there (or even invited) :) I do know they had a great time and would definitly go back. They froze, but on the last day they all jumped in the water. CRAZY boys! I know there are tons more pictures and probably better ones than these but I just picked a few!

Gold Canyon Candles

My mom is a senior manager for Gold Canyon Candles and they are having a special right now. I know most of us are looking for a little extra money and these candles are seriously the best. You can get a demonstrator kit for $125, once you are a demonstrator you make a percentage of your sales. Everything is done online so you don't have to stock the candles at your house. In your kit you will have a little bit of everything to show people. The kit is worth $350 so you could even just buy the kit and try to sell it first. Anyway, go to www.goldcanyoncandle.com if you are interested, or give me a call. My mom has been selling these since 1998 and it has done really well for her. If you just want to buy some candles I can have her order them for you. Have a great day!

New hiding spot

Any of you that know Kinley know that she is quite a funny girl. Well last night she actually out did herself. We put her to bed around 9:00 pm. She came out a couple of times, you know, I need a drink of water, I am scared of the dark, I need to go potty. And any other excuse she could think of. Well, I finally put her in bed again and said "Do NOT get up again." So Jordon and I were on the couch, Jordon studying and I was reading, so there was no noise. At 11:00 I went to check on the kids and Kinley was not in her bed. I thought maybe she crawled into Kadens crib, nope not in there. She had snuck out of her room and hid under the stairs, quiet as a mouse. We didn't hear a thing and I guess she realized she was tired and fell asleep. She is too funny. Never a dull moment with Kinley around! We sure love her!

Just a few more....

We took the kids to half price day at the carnival at Mission Beach. All the adults even went on the roller coaster.

Lucy and Kinley on the boats.

Check out the size of these slices of pizza!

La Jolla Coves

family shot at La Jolla Coves

Jordon is showing Kaden all of the crabs

My dad is getting seashells for all the little girls that didn't like the crabs.

My sister, Lindsey, was sitting on the edge of the rocks when a HUGE wave came. She got completely soaked. It was HILARIOUS! good thing none of the little kids were by her, they would have washed away.

The water was so warm, the kids wanted to play in it. We compromised and let them splash with their feet.

More San Diego

This is where my dad sat the whole time. After the first day his feet got so burned that the rest of the time he was completely protected.

This is EVERYBODY!

All the grandkids.

San Diego

For the Bradshaw Family Vacation we went to San Diego. We stayed at a hotel called Bahia at mission beach. The hotel was nice, but they gave us some trouble! When we first got there they gave us two keys we went to the rooms opened the door and people were still in them. Yikes.. so we took the keys back. To make a long story short they swtiched us rooms 4 times before they got it right. Then about the third day our toilet backed up into our bathtub. It was so gross, they said they were going to have to move us again, but they got it fixed. Between Lindsey and Jordon talking to the managers we got a discount at the end of our stay. So I guess it all worked out. Anyway, we had TONS of fun. We had 10 adults and 18 grandkids in 3 rooms. Sounds insane, but it actually turned out pretty good. We were just a few blocks from the beach and the bay was in our backyard. Kinley and Kaden loved the sand (not so much the water or waves) Jordon and I both got to boogie board! We had FHE and two girls took a turn making dinner each night. We played games and watched movies. It was blast. I will post more pictures.....

The second half of the Green vacation took place at Jace's cabin. (Jace is Jordon's older brother.) It is in the mountains of AZ in a place called Greens Peak Hideaway. The summer weather there is perfect and there are plenty of tall pine trees to provide shade. It really was alot of fun. 2J's provided 5 four wheelers and Jace brought two of his horses for the kids to ride. We had campfires at night with dutch oven cooking and s'mores. Chade and Jace, the soon to be world famous country duo provided entertainment around the fire each evening spiced with the occasional song from other family members. The kids really had a blast. They were outside the entire day. They went on horse rides, four wheeler rides, played with caterpillars, and they especially love Papas dog, Cage. He is definitely one of Kinley's 3 favorite things about Arizona. Cage is half boxer half rottweiler. He in no way looks like a nice gentle dog but he is as good with kids as any dog could be. Kinley and Kaden crawl all over him and try to get him to eat everything under the sun to the point that they are trying to pry his jaws open. The attention he gets from them is well earned by what he has to put up with. Above, you can see Kaden hanging out under the truck with him. I spent much of my time reading a good book. It is called Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, if you like to read, it's a good one.

Green Family Vacation

As soon as we got to AZ, we had the Green Family Reunion. This is the first time Jordon's whole family have ALL been together for a long time - probably two years. We spent the first couple of days at The Pointe, a resort in the valley. We had a suite for each family and there is a waterpark exclusive to resort guests. My kids did surprisingly well, considering neither of them really like water. They had a kids area with a shallow water and some fountains. (See the picture of Kaden above - we thought it was pretty funny.) We took all the kids to Amazing Jake's where they have a pizza buffet, games, go carts and more - it's kind of like a Chuck E. Cheese on steroids. We were even able to pull off having some babysitters come to the resort while we adults saw a movie. We had so much fun, the kids didn't stop the entire time. After leaving the Pointe we went to Jace's cabin.....

Here Come the Pictures from Summer Vacation.....

These are actually right before we left for summer vacation. My sister and her two kids and my sister-in-law and her four kids came to visit us. We all stayed in my tiny little apartment, which made for a crowded house. I thought it went pretty well though. We did manage to make my downstairs neighbor pretty mad however. :) We went and saw the seals at the wharf, visited the jelly belly factory.. and now it has been a month so I can't remember what else we did. Thanks for coming guys! We miss you already.
